Will I have a "shop" area on Pomp USA or are products from different vendors but same categories listed all together? Shop Owners have their own shop on POMP USA.  Products will be in the categories shop owners choose. A customer can find products by either browsing through the categories or searching the vendor list and clicking on a specific store. Shop Owners dictate price, shipping policy, etcetera.

Will I be responsible for updating stock quantity? Shop owners are responsible for their shop on POMP USA. We have tools on POMP USA to help; for example, when a shop owner inputs 25 for ‘Stock quantity’ and an item sells, the system will automatically show 24 items on hand.

Will Pomp USA run sales for stores? Only for The Officer Package. Shop owners run their own sales. We have tools to allow you to discount a price for a select time period, but this is your store.

Does Pomp USA have shipping policies/expectations? Shop owners determine their own shipping prices & policies. They could say an item arrives in 6 months for $1000, probably won’t be very effective, but it is their choice. When shop owners click on the manage shipping tab they choose from a flat rate option, a USPS option, or upload a CSV file for their shipping rates based on product weight and sender’s ZIP code. This allows vendors to handle shipping through their preferred carrier.

This Fees & Payments Policy explains your fees and taxes and how to pay them.  This policy is a part of our Terms of Service (POMP USA’s Rules of Engagement). By opening a POMP USA shop, you’re agreeing to this policy and our Terms of Use.

1. Types of Feessellers may be required to pay the following types of fees:

a)  Listing Fees.  Nope, there are none.

b)  Transaction Fees.  Our transaction fees are transparent and show up on every receipt so both the vendor and buyer know exactly how much goes to each party.  POMP USA earns 3%, 9% or 17% commission of the sales price depending on package level at sign up. If you sell from the US or Canada, the transaction fee will not apply to the shipping cost, sales tax, Goods and Services Tax, or Harmonized Sales Tax, unless you have included those charges in your listing price. If you sell from anywhere other than the US and Canada, the transaction fee will apply to the listing price (which should include any applicable taxes), but will not apply to the shipping cost. See the Taxes section below for more information about whether or not you are required to include applicable taxes in your listing prices.

c)  Payment Processing Fees.  PayPal charges 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction. This fee is assessed on the total amount of the sale, including tax and shipping. Unlike other fees, the payment processing fee is deducted from the transaction amount as the funds become available for deposit. Payment processing fees will be reflected in your Account Dashboard.

d)  Advertising Fees.  Nope, there are no advertising fees; however, we offer 3 levels of service as stated above with varying commission rates.

e)  Shipping Fees.  Shipping fees are determined by the shop owners. We strongly recommend a shop owner inputs the tracking number for the customer when the product is shipped.

f)  Digital VAT (Value-Added Tax) Fees.  On January 1, 2015, new regulations took effect on the sale of digital items delivered via automatic download to buyers in the EU.

The new regulations state that businesses selling digital goods and delivering them by automatic download to customers in European Union countries will be required to collect and pay VAT based on the VAT rates of the country where the customer is located—not on the rates of the country where the business is located.

Under European Union law, when you sell a digital item that is downloaded automatically to a buyer living in the EU, VAT (a value-added tax) must be collected based upon the rate that is charged in the country where the buyer is located. To make this convenient for you, POMP USA will automatically increase the amount charged to the buyer of the digital item to collect the correct amount of VAT, and POMP USA will remit the VAT to the tax authorities. The amount will depend on the buyer’s country of residence.

Important legal note: Solely for VAT purposes, when you sell a digital item to an EU buyer, you are legally supplying the item to POMP USA. POMP USA will then supply the digital item to the buyer, and the buyer will be treated as a consumer.

2. Currency Conversion

All fees that appear on your POMP USA bill are in US Dollars. If you list items in a currency other than US Dollars, your item price will be converted to US Dollars solely for purposes of calculating the transaction fee.

To avoid incurring foreign exchange charges, POMP USA recommends you list your items in the same currency as your bank account. Buyers will see the items in the currency of their choosing. If you decide to list in a currency other than that of your bank account, you will be charged 2.5% over the current market rate to send funds to your bank account. Currency conversion is handled automatically by our payment processing service.

3. Fee Avoidanceany action by a seller to avoid paying a commission is considered fee avoidance and is prohibited by POMP USA without written authorization from POMP USA. This includes, for example, encouraging buyers to purchase an item through another venue. POMP USA earns less than other marketplaces because we want to add value to our customers, both vendors and buyers.  We expect customers to respect POMP USA in the same, fair manner.  The price stated in each listing description must be an accurate representation of the sale. Sellers may not charge excessive shipping fees with an extremely low sales price to avoid paying the full 3% commission. Sellers may not alter the item's price after a sale for the purpose of avoiding transaction fees, misrepresent the item’s location, or use another user's account without permission.

4. Paying your POMP USA Billnope, there is no bill. Did you ever input credit card information or bank information for us to draft from? No. This is another example of how POMP USA is different. We believe in providing value to our customers and only expect our commission on sales.  Other marketplaces sell you on hope, but are over saturated and nickel & dime vendors just getting started. At POMP USA our interests are aligned.

5. TaxesVendors are responsible for collecting and paying any taxes associated with using and making sales through POMP USA.

If you sell physical goods on POMP USA and reside in the US or Canada, you have the option of either including applicable taxes in your listing prices, or excluding applicable taxes from your listing prices and then using our sales tax tool to calculate the tax owed on each sale.

If you sell physical goods on POMP USA and reside outside of the US and Canada, you need to include all applicable taxes in your listing prices.

POMP USA’s commission does not include any withholding taxes that might apply in your home country. You may not deduct any applicable withholding taxes from that amount.
